OMG! I just made that exact baked kale salad from that exact book last night. It's everything I dream of especially after the combo of holiday gluttony and bad travel food. I also made her lentils with sticky honey shallots to go with it.

The two of you are kind of my dream cooking team!

I knew you two would like each other! You're so aligned in so many ways, particularly salad ways! I met Justine at a book event a few weeks ago, and all I could think of was, "this would be perfect if Emily was here"!

This salad looks amazing and I can’t wait to make it. However, sage and rosemary are the two herbs my husband cannot tolerate. What would you recommend as a good substitute in the agridolce?

Hey, Amy--Agrodolce comes in many forms and this is a riff on a more complex sauce. You're going after the sweet and sour flavors here, so you could easily leave out the herbs. Or use another simple agrodolce recipe? I hope that helps!

All spinach. All kale. All the time!

Thanksgiving was over the top butter and carbs so we are on Day 4 of kale or spinach salads for lunch. Rolling these out tomorrow and Friday. Perfection. Thank you!

Oh, this is wonderful! I have all the ingredients in my garden and kitchen! My lacinato kale and sage seem to grow all winter! And I have a surplus of quinoa, having forgotten about a big bag of it, dying to use it.

Kale and quinoa? No, no, no! Two of my least favorite ingredients. Had a kale Caesar Salad once and was sick for a week. And don't get me going on the tasteless quinoa recipes!
